Many apprentices continue to become managers

Loughborough-based contractor and developer William Davis Ltd has been taking on apprentices for over 60 years and many of their current managers and supervisors started out in the company as apprentices.

Brian Bradford, Training and Personnel Manager, explained: "Our employees tend to stay with the company, so investing in apprentices is very worthwhile.  Apprenticeships build practical skills as well as theoretical knowledge and a trained apprentice is a very valuable employee."

Bespoke apprenticeship scheme reaps success

We encourage flexible and bespoke working relationships with our clients. In fact, our Pershore Centre has been working closely with leading housing provider, Sanctuary  Group to develop a specialist block-release, horticulture apprenticeship programme
